Gourd and Shrimp or Pork Soup

Ingredients:

2 butternut squashes or wintermelons or daikon or long bottle gourd 

Cabbage (optional)

A large sweet onion

A handful of shrimp (Can also use ground pork or turkey)

Fish sauce

Black pepper

Water


Instructions:

1. Thaw a handful of shrimp.

2. Cut off the ends of the squash and peel it with a knife. Cut them into large cubes.

3. Cut an onion into thick slices.

4. Put olive oil in a pot and cook the shrimp for about a minute.

5. Add some shakes of fish sauce and black pepper.

6. Then add some water. 

7. Add the onion, squash, and cabbage, then let boil. Once it reaches a boil turn it down to a simmer and let cook until the squash is soft.
